The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach

Flag Luxury conceived the first Ritz-Carlton to embrace local architecture while preserving the brand’s luxury experience, creating a second-generation model for future Ritz-Carltons. In 1999, Flag Luxury undertook one of the most important and extensive restorations ever executed in South Beach by transforming the former DiLido hotel into the 376-key Ritz-Carlton South Beach. The $200 million gut renovation completely restored and modernized the Morris Lapidus-designed property. The site features an oceanfront infinity pool, a 16,000 square foot spa and is South Beach’s first five-star hotel and one of Florida’s most luxurious destinations. Since its opening, the Ritz-Carlton South Beach has been one of the most profitable Ritz-Carltons in the world.
